I have been having tons of fun with Diablo III so far. It's part of the reason I've been semi-neglecting keeping posts and things up-to-date. These things happen. I've also started a new commission-based job, so that's been occupying quite a bit of my time, too. Terrible when work gets in the way of gaming, but as we say around here, "C'est la vie." I have one teensy-tiny complaint with the game right now -- Item drops.
It could be coincidence, but it seems like the items that I've been getting from bosses are for everything but what I need or want at any given moment.
For instance, I have my Demon Hunter running all over Hell's half acre, killing bosses, finding Treasure Goblins, and generally having some good ol' Diablo fun. But then I kill a boss or a "gold/yellow" creature and I'm excited, thinking that at least one fantastic thing that I can use is going to drop... and then a whole bunch of fantastic things for every character class I am not and for every Follower I'm not using at the moment falls out onto the ground.
Why, Blizzard? Why? My slightly paranoid brain is wondering if perhaps this was done deliberately so people would almost be forced to use the Auction House to get decent equipment. I thought maybe I had been leveling too fast for the areas I was in. However, I have consistently been getting loot that I either cannot use because it is for another class or has stats that are far too low for my current level.
Just as I was getting to the end of Act III and going to find Azmodan, I killed another gold boss. He dropped a bunch of good stuff (two rares, even) that would have been great for another character. He also dropped a crossbow. Awesome, right? Nope. I'm currently level 29. The bow was set for a level 12 character. So, I've been using the Auction House to offload the stuff I can't use and to buy stuff I can use.
Am I the only one experiencing this?
