There are two new TV shows that started this fall that caught my eye. One is ABC’s “Pan Am” and the other is NBC’s “The Playboy Club.” My husband accuses me of watching period pieces because they are period pieces, but this isn’t necessarily the case. I do like a good deal of them. I enjoyed “The Tudors” and I like “Mad Men,” but despite my enjoyment of Jeremy Irons, I couldn’t bring myself to continue watching “The Borgias” after the 4th episode. More Netflix Irritations Causes Hulu Plus Subscription
Recently I got this email regarding our Netflix subscription. We had the option to have 3 DVDs out per month with unlimited streaming. This cost nearly $20/month and we mostly used the DVDs to watch TV seasons. We got through all of our TV shows and decided to drop our service down to 1 DVD per month with unlimited streaming and this cost about $10/month. Continue reading

I’m beginning to see Netflix as a double-edged sword. On one hand, it is incredibly convenient to use the streaming feature via the XBox 360. Mad Men Held Over Until 2012 Due to a Negotiation Breakdown
I’ve been reading several stories about Mad Men. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a watch. It airs on AMC, is set in the early 60s (Season 4 saw President Kennedy’s assassination). My husband and I just got through this season and are looking forward to season 5. He just informed me that the next season won’t be airing until 2012. Continue reading
