Chris is excited for his game to show up. Not only did we pre-order the game, but we pre-ordered the Darksiders II Collector's Edition. I'm excited to check out Death's mask. Though, I am a little concerned that it's going to be one of those mostly cheaply made things and that there will be tons of disappointment. Still, it's like a morbidly designed theatre mask and I love how it looks.
I was amused last night during the short conversation where I was informed as to how the day is going to proceed after he gets home from work:
"You will be ready to go with the receipt. I will shower, dress, and then we will go pick up my precious."
"Your precious, eh?"
It can be a little disconcerting when you're picturing your partner as Gollum. And not the Gollum of Peter Jackson's vision, either. No, the image of Gollum that you have had in your head since you first read the Hobbit way back when. The one that's more sinister and creepy than the adorable one in the movies. (Yes, that's right, adorable.)
Thankfully that image is mostly out of my head. Though, with Guild Wars 2 being released in less than two weeks (yay for head start play!) and Chris playing Darksiders II, we may not see each other but for meals, sleeping and relations. I might have to sneak in some time playing as Death, too. He's one of the more interesting Horsemen. Well. In my head he is, anyway.
