Guild Wars 2 Last Beta Weekend Event (BWE) — Some Initial Thoughts
July 21, 2012 | ~1 min read time.
From the Sylvari starting area. Gorgeous.

Alright, so, I'm just about to go fall face first into the bed and hope Sasha isn't hanging out on my side because he might get crushed (okay, so I'll make sure I don't — I wouldn't want to ruin Caturday with a broken kitty.)  I've been playing Guild Wars 2 for the last ... damn.  Nearly 12 hours off and on.  Most of that's been spent chattering with my Guild Wars guild members, rather than actually playing.

I'm going to put up several posts in the weeks leading up to the launch about observations of the game from what I've seen in the beta so far, including a cursory walk-through of the character creation screens.  They were tons of fun.  For now, here are a few screen shots for the sake of screen shots from the Sylvari starting area:

Guild Member's Sylvari Character
And finally ... this is a guild member's character during a cinematic from his personal story line with a female Sylvari necromancer. This is what happens when your armour, that looks like a skirt normally, breaks just before the cinematic happens. Good times. I now am not sure which is funnier — this or Diablo III's Whimsyshire. I'm leaning toward the latter, only because it's deliberately repeatable, but only because of that!
