Camelot - Slow Start, but Beautiful Filming & Plot Development So Far
April 11, 2011 | ~1 min read time.

Camelot is a recent show about the era of King Arthur. The series seems to have made a bit of a slow start (3 episodes in), but the acting is quite good so far and the scene setup is gorgeous. I'm not a film expert - I watch for my own enjoyment without having to pick things apart.

It's a Showtime lite show. There is sex, but rather than thinly related to the plot line, it makes a lot of sense. The violence has been nearly non-existent and considering the time period that makes me a little dubious. However, I will give the writers credit for bothering to mention Uther at all, let alone actually introducing him as a character.

The magic hasn't been overbearing - in fact, it's been quite subtle thus far with the exception of Arthur's sister, Morgana. We'll see how it plays out, but I do love a costume drama and this is certainly promising to be just that!

Camelot airs on Fridays on Starz.
